How often have we tried to explain our work to our loved ones? Science too often resonates like something inaccessible and blurry in the eyes of the general public.
For this new edition, we decided to focus on disseminating knowledge to the general public.
On Monday evening, a round table discussion will take place at the symposium, on the theme: "Redisseminate scientific knowledge: who and how?". More details are presented in the 'Events' section (stakeholders, program, etc.).
Every day, a short video clip focused on the volunteer participants of the day, will be realized and published the same evening by Aurélien Prudor (http://yourmovie.fr/).
Blog posts and/or videos summarizing some of the participant's contributions will be published on the conference website. These various productions are relayed by the members of the Café des Sciences and profit from a visibility with the amateurs of francophone sciences.
After the conference, we plan to intervene with the general public at the SCHOOL of the sea (Tuesday 19 September 2017 at 18h30) and the Fête de la Science (La Rochelle, October 2017). We will share our experience, from the organization of the conference to its final event. A film about the entire event will be screened, followed by questions and answers with the general public.
All of these projects will depend to a large extent on your contributions! As soon as your abstract is submitted, you will be asked to share as many documents as possible (photos of the study topic, videos of your daily work, possible scientific figures and their explanations, etc.). If your documents are not ready, it will always be possible to do so later.
